Last spring, I created a series of blog posts commemorating the 160th anniversary of events in Virginia in April, May, June, and July 1861. Many of these were battles and skirmishes that didn’t have complete entries. I’ve since gone back and updated the battle pages, including:
- Skirmish at Glenville
- Skirmish at Bowman’s Place
- Engagement at Mathias Point
- Skirmish at Frankford and Patterson’s Creek
- Skirmish at New Creek
- Engagement at Vienna
There are still six additional battle pages that have yet to be updated. Right now, they are just placeholders but hopefully this spring I’ll get around to at least writing the battle narrative.
