Welcome to version 1.2 of the Spirit of ’61 Battlelog! We proudly announce that this edition contains complete narratives for all 36 military actions in Virginia in the spring and summer of 1861 in one convenient pdf, free to download for all Civil War buffs, researchers, and history nerds alike.
Updates and changes from version 1.1 include complete battle narratives for the Engagement at Barboursville, Skirmish at Pocatalico, Battle of Scary Creek, Skirmish at New Creek, Action at Greenbrier River, and Skirmish at Middle Fork Bridge. We also updated the index. Previous versions can be found at our Publications page.
